✈️ “Call me tomorrow and I’ll be on a plane.”
Jun 30, 2025
That’s what I said (and meant) after working with the Green School South Africa team again this year.
Why? Because when a place breathes connection, purpose and curiosity — it fuels me too.
As the summer holidays approach here in the Netherlands, most learners are already wrapping up.
It feels like a good moment to pause, and reflect on what the past six months brought.
A few highlights from January to now:
🇨🇳 Beijing → Limburg, The Netherlands: welcoming a delegation of Chinese educators for a two-day deep dive into learner-centred education.
🇩🇪 Germany → Netherlands: hosting several educator groups — including visitors from Germany — for one-day allLearners experiences. Rich exchanges, fresh perspectives.
🇿🇦 South Africa: returning to Green School SA to coach and support their staff — I fell in love with the school and the people a couple of years ago, and now I’m also falling for the country itself. Thank you Alba Brandt.
(And yes, I still proudly serve as a founding member of their advisory board — online.)
🇳🇱 Agora Roermond: Wings has committed to another five years with our Building Blocks — using them as both structure and strategy for staff development. I’ve had the pleasure of training their new team leader, Joris Arts, and I’m wishing their former team lead, Rob Riedl, all the best as he begins a new adventure 🇫🇷
🇩🇰 Denmark: working side-by-side with Varde Municipality — both online and on site — to shift school culture in meaningful ways.
This is just the beginning of a three-year collaboration, and I’m grateful to have Rob Perree alongside me — his commitment and presence are making a real difference.
🇳🇴 Oslo: with Heltberg Akademiet, we’re entering our third year of collaboration. More staff. More depth. More connection.
🇪🇺 Across Europe giving my new keynote “Everyone deserves to be treated respectfully unequal” — in Dutch and English — to audiences in several countries — including in Ubachsberg 😉@Jos Bauer.
Each time, the room goes quiet. Then: nods. Laughter. That moment of recognition.
Are we really doing this?
Yes.
And we can change it.
And then… the conversations begin.
💻 Reimagine Education Coaching: we launched — and filled — our very first online cohort. International, inspired, and already planting new seeds.
📌 I’ll share what’s next in tomorrow’s post —
but for now:
Gratitude. Growth. And a good summer pause (for those who get one 😉).
