“I can see a change both in the students and in me."
Nov 05, 2025There’s a moment in this video that hit me right in the heart.
Mette, a teacher from Blåbjergskolen in Varde, says:
“I can see a change both in the students and in me. Because the students are more motivated about the way I teach, and I’ve learned so much about me — to step back and observe them.”
She continues:
“Before, I knew what I wanted to teach them, and I had one way to do it — my way. Of course I listened to the students. But now I listen to them, and if they give me a really good example of what they would learn and how they would learn it, I choose to do that. And I can see an effect in that.”
That line — “I can see a change both in the students and in me” — says everything. Because that’s where real transformation begins. Not in new programs or plans, but in moments when teachers start to truly observe, reflect, and adjust.
It made me proud — proud of her, proud of the team around her, and honestly, proud of what we’ve built together. Because when teachers start describing change like this, in their own words, you know it’s not theory anymore — it’s culture.
Thank you, Mette, for reminding me why this work matters, and what happens when we really start listening.
The results Mette achieved are possible for your school too. I’ve turned this approach into a practical coaching journey where schools discover how to:
👉 Strengthen learner motivation
👉 Build a learning culture where teachers grow alongside their students
👉 Turn reflection and ownership into daily practice
Over the past years, I’ve helped schools around the world achieve these results — step by step, together.
